Garden Valley Technologies has begun a search for scholarship candidates. If selected, candidates will receive a one-time $1,000 or $2,000 scholarship from the Minnesota Telecom Alliance (MTA) Foundation.
Garden Valley Technologies participates in MTA’s scholarship program and is approaching high schools in their serving area looking for potential scholarship winners. To be eligible, applicants must be attending post-secondary education at either a university, college, or technical college; be a Minnesota resident, and the General Scholarship applicant’s family must subscribe to at least one service from Garden Valley Technologies. A telecom alliance panel reviews each application and selects the finalists based on the applicant’s grades, academic achievements and extra-curricular activities. Preference to receive the scholarships is given to students who have an interest in telecommunications technology and rural communities. Students should contact their school counselor to receive an application or visit: https://www.mnta.org/page/Scholarship
Once a student has completed the application online, they need to print a copy and attach the required documentation. Applications must be submitted to: CEO/General Manager, Garden Valley Technologies, P.O. Box 259, Erskine, MN 56535 by February 21, 2020.
“We’re happy to have this chance to make an investment in our community by helping young people get a technical or college education” says Tim Brinkman, CEO/General Manager at Garden Valley Technologies. “It makes us all proud when one of the statewide winners is selected from our area.”
The Foundation is part of the Minnesota Telecom Alliance, a trade association representing 44 telecommunications providers in the state.
