The Garden Valley Technologies Board of Directors recently approved donating $1,000 to 10 local food shelves throughout the GVT service area. This decision reflects our commitment to supporting those in need and giving back to the community that has been an integral part of our cooperative’s success.

Throughout 2023, GVT will have donated over $10,900 to local food shelves through this initiative and donation requests.

We recognize the vital role that food shelves play in ensuring that everyone in our community has access to nutritious meals, especially during the holiday season. This donation is a small gesture of our appreciation for the tireless efforts of food shelf organizations and their dedicated volunteers. GVT is deeply rooted in the communities we serve, and we are honored to be able to support the well-being of our neighbors.

The local food shelves supported by the cooperative include:

Clearwater County Food Shelf in Bagley, Grace Lutheran Food Shelf in Erskine, Loaves & Fishes Food Shelf in Fosston, Fertile-Beltrami Food Shelf in Fertile, Red Lake Falls Community Food Shelf in Red Lake Falls, Inter-County Community Food Shelf in Oklee, Grygla-Gatzke Food Shelf in Grygla, Thief River Falls Food Shelf in Thief River Falls, Warren Area Food Shelf in Warren, Helping Hands Food Shelf in Mahnomen.
