Celebrated by cooperatives nationwide during the month of October, National Co-op Month is an annual opportunity to raise awareness of a trusted, proven way to do business and build resilient, inclusive communities. Under the theme “Co-ops Build Economic Power,” this year’s Co-op Month is also a chance to lift-up the cooperative business model as the best way to build an economy that empowers everyone.

In honor of co-op month, GVT recently donated over 900 reusable water bottles to all eleven schools in its service area. Schools are distributing the water bottles to 2nd and 3rd grade students.

“For several years now, GVT has donated reusable water bottles to elementary classrooms in the schools we serve,” stated Timothy Brinkman, General Manager of Garden Valley Technologies. “It’s a small way we can invest in the future and introduce a local cooperative to children.”
