The Garden Valley Education Foundation recently presented a $5,000 technology grant to Fosston public school for the purchase of 20 Chromebook laptops. As technology continues to advance, providing students with Chromebooks is an exciting approach to teach students new ways to access homework and educational resources.
Garden Valley CEO/General Manager Tim Brinkman and Garden Valley Director Casey Holland presented the technology grant check to Fosston Public School Superintendent Kevin Ricke and District Technology Coordinator Carolyn Schmitz.
The Garden Valley Education Foundation was established in late 1990, by Garden Valley Telephone Company, to promote rural economic development through the use of modern telecommunications technology for educational purposes. Garden Valley Telephone Company funds the Education Foundation with unclaimed capital credits.
