The easiest and fastest way to preregister for services is by going to join.gvtel.com, enter in your physical address and walk through the simple steps.
You can call to sign up. However, we will still need to verify your physical address located on the maps and this is how we will track potential customers when we begin plowing fiber. So, we prefer that you visit the site, as we want to make this process as convenient as possible for potential customers.

Yes, customers can sign up for services at our retail stores in Erskine, Bagley and Thief River Falls. However, we prefer you preregister by going to join.gvtel.com, enter in your physical address and walk through the simple steps.
Our retail stores also offer a wide range of products such as smart TV’s, computers, and cellular accessories.
We will require a prewire deposit of $100 which is non-refundable if services are canceled prior to installation. Once the service is installed, the $100 deposit, along with interest, will be credited back to your account in full after three months of good service.
Prewire will include video installation up to 3 TVs and basic Internet installation to one location. New telephone service will be charged as time and material. If existing wiring and phone jack are available, no charges for wiring will apply. However, a one-time $15.50 hook-up charge will apply for telephone service. Customer must meet credit qualifications with video service.
At the time of our construction we will plow Fiber to every residence and business at no cost. Bringing our Fiber to your location now does not obligate you to subscribe to our services. There could be cost for Fiber to be plowed to your location at a later date.
As a GVT subscriber, you are automatically a member-owner of Garden Valley Technologies. Each time you subscribe to one of our services, you are not just becoming a customer, you are making an investment in our company!
You will receive a return on your investment through GVT’s capital credits. As stated in GVT’s bylaws, a percentage of the money used to run the operations for the cooperative will be returned to the subscriber after a number of years of successful operations determined by the Cooperative’s Board of Directors.
You should receive your first statement from GVT within 4 weeks of your install date. Our services are billed 1-month ahead, so your first bill may show up to 2-months of services including pro-rated charges.
We offer troubleshooting and out-of-service repairs the same day.
You can preregister with Garden Valley Technologies by going to join.gvtel.com, however you will need permission from your landlord before Garden Valley Technologies can prewire your home for services.
We will make all efforts to minimize any disturbance of your property. Though we may need to dig across your yard to provide you with a GVT fiber network connection, our goal is to treat your yard as if it were our own. After the completion of construction, we will restore your property to a condition as close to original as possible.
Landline phone numbers can usually be ported from your current provider. To initiate a port, GVT needs the information exactly as it appears on your statement from your current provider. This will include the account number, name, address, and phone number.
Internet service requires a 6-month commitment with a free basic installation to one location. GVTV service requires 2-year commitment with a free installation on up to 3 TV’s (based on credit approval).
We provide Internet service over a more reliable, fiber optic cable with unlimited data speeds. Our Internet is not affected by weather, time of day, or amount of customers online at the same time. Our upload and download speeds are equal, providing you a more efficient Internet speed.
No, GVT does not place data limits (data caps) on our Internet service. We provide our customers with the fastest symmetrical speeds available with speeds up to 1 Gbps.
- Yes, GVT offers unlimited long distance for $22.95/month. This package is available for residential customers and must be within the 48 contiguous States. For calling outside of the 48 contiguous United States, please click here: GVT Long Distance Terms and Conditions
Yes, GVT will be contacting customers promoting specials we have on the services we offer. Customers can also go to GVT’s website to see the latest promotional offers available.
View live sports programming as well as other school and area events on channels dedicated solely to the school, broadcast by the students. Currently we provide the following channels:

To enjoy viewing you will need an Internet signal (10 MB or higher is recommended for best performance). If you are a current GVT member you can access this content for FREE, please click on the ‘Login with GVT E-Bill Account’ button.
If you are not a current GVT member, we offer monthly or yearly subscription options. After you’ve subscribed, you will be sent an email that contains a direct link and a password for access.
