This position is generally scheduled for an average of 36 hours per week, depending on the Company’s requirements, with a reporting location in Erskine and work from home opportunities possible. The shift schedule for this position will consist of Monday through Friday shifts (8am to 4:30pm, 8:30am to 5:00pm, 1:00pm to 9pm), weekend shifts (7am to 3pm, 11am to 7pm, 1pm to 9pm), and holiday shifts (7am to 3pm, 1pm to 9pm), depending on the Company’s requirements. The shift schedule for this position is subject to change depending on the Company’s requirements. Applicants must be willing and able to work extended hours when workload requires.

Essential Job Functions:

Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with new service requests, service changes, billing inquiries, and service questions and concerns, including performing troubleshooting steps for applicable products and services, with dispatching to appropriate personnel.

Promote, sell, and upsell Garden Valley services to new and existing customers in our service office.

Use a multi-line telephone system, computer, and other technology necessary in performing all job functions.

Work at Company-sponsored events such as customer appreciation days, parades, and fairs.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Preference may be given to an applicant:

  1. With strong knowledge of billing and service software and their applications, as well as Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  2. With knowledge of Garden Valley’s products and services.  
  3. With strong customer service and sales skills, leadership qualities, and a desire to learn.
  4. Who demonstrates high-level attention to detail and confidentiality.

Must have:

  1. Proficient telephone skills and the ability to communicate (both orally and in writing) with the public, co-workers, and various business contacts in a cheerful, professional, and effective manner.
  2. The ability to pay close attention to detail and maintain confidentiality.
  3. The ability, willingness, and flexibility (without advance notice) to work any hours and shifts required by the Company, including weekends and holidays.
  4. Mathematical and analytical skills and knowledge.
  5. The ability to work independently, and as a team player, and make sound decisions using the information at hand.
  6. Organizational skills, possess time management skills, and have neat and orderly work habits.
  7. Proficiency in operating computers, iPad, smartphones, various software packages, and other technology.

Direct customer contact including sales and service of Garden Valley’s products and services with experience in cellular and an emphasis on security. Assist with all service-related tasks, including requests, inquiries, troubles, billing questions and concerns, and the handling of all equipment returns.

Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with new service requests, service changes, billing inquiries, and service questions and concerns, including performing troubleshooting steps for applicable products and services, with dispatching to appropriate personnel.

Greet visitors and assist walk-in customers in a friendly and courteous manner at all times.

Receive payments from customers, post payments to appropriate accounts and issue receipts, as requested.

Responsible for cash drawers, daily bank deposits, and related reports.

Perform all aspects of the Company’s service order and trouble ticket functions associated with the service center including paperwork, reports, and receiving calls.

Use a multi-line telephone system, computer, and other technology necessary in performing all job functions.

Work at Company-sponsored events such as customer appreciation days, parades, and fairs.
