Garden Valley Technologies (GVT) will hold its 121st Annual Membership Meeting at the Win-E-Mac School in Erskine, MN, with viewing available to members through GVT Local Channels, on June 2, 2026, beginning at 10:30am.

GVT’s Board of Director nomination process uses a petition-based system. A person interested in becoming a candidate for GVT’s Board of Directors must be nominated through this petition process. Petition packets will be available beginning January 13, 2026, at GVT’s retail locations in Erskine, Bagley, and Thief River Falls, and will also be available for download on our website.

The petition must be signed by fifteen (15) GVT members with voting rights who reside in the same District as the candidate they are nominating. Candidates will also be required to provide biographical information and respond to director qualification questions included in the packet. Completed petition packets may be submitted January 26 through March 4, 2026, by delivery at any GVT retail store, by U.S. Mail, or by email.

The Director seats up for election in 2026 are:
District 2: Brooks, Erskine, Mentor
District 5: Fosston, Lengby
District 8: CLEC and National Members, including Bejou, Thief River Falls, and Warren

Director qualifications are outlined in Article III and Article IV (Section 2) of GVT’s By-Laws, printed on pages A51 to A56 in the 2026 Directory, and summarized at www.gvtel.com/about-us.

Petitions submitted during the nomination window will be reviewed, and a list of all properly nominated and qualified candidates will be posted on GVT’s website by April 8, 2026. Elections for contested Director seats will be conducted using three voting options: by U.S. Mail, electronically, or in-person. Members may use one voting method for each District up for election.

All members will receive election materials for voting by mail, and those who prefer to vote electronically will be able to do so through an election website. Voting by mail and electronic means will close on May 28, 2026, allowing ballots to be tabulated prior to the 121st Annual Membership Meeting. Members who prefer to vote in-person may do so at the 121st Annual Membership Meeting on June 2, 2026.
